Kokoda Trekkers’ Memento Medal 18 August 2010
Medal Art Mint has recently designed and produced the first ever “Kokoda Trekkers’ Memento Medal”. This medal is a wonderful keepsake for those who have walked the Kokoda Track. The Foundation relies entirely on support from its corporate partners and we are thrilled that Medal Art Mint has agreed to donate some of its profits back to the communities along the Kokoda Track.
Department of Veterans’ Affairs amazing fundraising 18 August 2010
Staff at the Australian Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) have raised an extraordinary $41, 322.90 for the Kokoda Track Foundation. DVA were raising money as part of celebrations held in 2008 to mark the 90th anniversary of the Australian repatriation commission. The Foundation’s board of directors is extremely grateful to the staff at DVA for their generosity and support of its programs in PNG.
Australia Remembers Kokoda Plane Crash Victims 10 August 2010
Today marks the first anniversary of the tragic Airlines PNG plane crash that killed thirteen people in 2009. On board were nine Australians, seven from Victoria and two from Queensland, three Papua New-Guineans (including the two PNG pilots and Kokoda community member, Kingsley Eroro) and one Japanese businessman who were all tragically killed in the crash. Our thoughts and sincere condolences go out to the family and friends of those on board.
Ralph Honner Oration Dinner 2010 1 August 2010

The Kokoda Track Foundation is an Australian philanthropic organisation which aims to repay the selfless help given to Australia during WWII by the ‘Fuzzy Wuzzy Angels’ of Papua New Guinea by helping to improve the lives and futures of their descendants.
It does that by assisting with their education and healthcare, by trying to protect their environment, by helping to foster the growth of an eco-friendly trekking and tourism industry from which they can benefit, by working to keep the story of Kokoda alive, and by seeking to identify and foster the next generation of PNG leaders. » read more
